If you happen to be in Edinburgh and feel like enjoying a splendid Scottish scenery like a local, then horse riding in North Berwick would be the right activity for you!
North Berwick is a small town on the east side of Edinburgh facing the North Sea. You can easily get there by train or just about less than an hour drive away from Edinburgh.
Here, you can go get fresh lobsters at North Berwick Harbour, golfing next to the beach or taking a boat to see Bass Rock, an iconic sea bird sanctuary on a volcanic crag.
As a frequent visitor in Edinburgh, I’ve been to North Berwick several times for day trips. This time, I had an amazing day spending the afternoon horse riding with Seacliff Stables along Seacliff Beach, about less than ten minutes by car from North Berwick Harbour.
I took these photos while riding on horseback.
The hosts were very professional and friendly. They’re happy to walk with you along the ride, perfect for all levels. There was a kid doing her first pony riding there!
Just a few minutes’ drive from the horse shack, you can drop by at yellow flower field which is just opposite from Tantallon castle.
