Home of world-renowned art museums and galleries, London has long been the home of the eclectic scene. London Art Fair will be held from 16-20 January to at Business Design Center for the 31st time. The Fair aims to showcase outstanding modern and contemporary art from the UK and leading galleries from around the world to be discovered and bought by international visitors.
I went to London Art Fair in 2018 which hosted around 130 galleries and 20,000 attendees. I got a day-pass ticket which covered access to major areas and activities in the Fair including talks and discussions with experts and artists, tours and screenings. I joined a contemporary art tour hosted by a student from Sotheby’s Institute of Art which started at the entrance of the Fair. The host showed us around and gave a brief introduction to each sections and activities in the Fair.
This year’s fair will partner with Towner Art Gallery which is a gallery in East Bourne, UK and include annual Photo 50 and Art Projects exhibitions where you can discover fresh contemporary art from around the world. If you’re in London this January, just drop by to enjoy some art. Caution: you may end up bringing home some!
